Commerce: AdvertisingWe’re looking for a Creator Copywriter to join the Aviasales advertising team and work with us on digital branded special projects. We create both game-based experiences and more traditional formats.
Writing is at the heart of what we do, but there’s more to the role: you’ll unpack client briefs, come up with and refine ideas for special projects, and think through mechanics and user journeys. We’re looking for someone who can write sharp, concise copy and turn a stream of ideas into compelling concepts that resonate with clients.
What you'll be doing:
- work with the team to come up with ideas for branded special projects, pick the strongest ones, and develop them into concrete concepts;
- design mechanics and user journeys for special projects: what users see on each screen, what they do, and how they interact with the experience;
- describe ideas and mechanics clearly so they make sense to clients, designers, developers, and other team members;
- write scripts for game-based special projects, landing pages, and short-form advertising copy, including banners, emails, and other formats;
- communicate with clients, work with feedback, and explain the reasoning behind your decisions;
- work with external contributors when needed: brief them, edit their copy, and provide feedback.
What we expect from you:
- 3+ years of experience writing and editing commercial copy;
- experience with advertising and marketing formats such as special projects, landing pages, banners, push notifications, emails, or other types of commercial copy;
- a strong sense of humor and tone: you can write anything from subtly ironic to deliberately trashy and lowbrow — and, more importantly, you know when each approach works;
- independence and confidence in making decisions about your work, while knowing when to ask the team for a second opinion or help;
- the ability to work with feedback and explain your decisions to clients and the team;
- experience working with external contributors is a plus.
Please include a portfolio with your application. We want to see your actual writing and understand which formats you’ve already worked with.
Our interview process includes a test assignment. We’ll be looking not only at the final copy, but also at how you approach the task, generate ideas, and articulate your decisions.
How we work:
- work from anywhere in the world: no location restrictions, salary paid in USD, travel-loving culture;
- no bureaucracy: efficient processes, horizontal and open communication, quick idea discussion and decision-making;
- benefits compensation: private medical insurance, psychotherapy or language courses, sports activities, and sick leave.
